Details
We will be meeting at FIRST CREEK PULLOUT. 2 miles PAST the Red Rock Loop Exit on Hwy 159.
YOU MUST BE IN GOOD CARDIO CONDITION AND BE ABLE TO KEEP PACE WITH THE GROUP TO BE MOVED OVER FROM THE WAITLIST.
Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader. The sweeper will be last in line.
Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.THIS IS A SHORT BUT VERY DIFFICULT HIKE! You must be able to pull your body weight up a slab with a rope.
THERE WILL BE CLASS 4 SCRAMBLING WITH A DANGER LEVEL OF 5.
We will be using webbing/rope to climb a 20ft slab and to help get through a rabbit hole 10ft above your head. We will take a long break at the top so anyone wanting to take pictures can do so.
I have set this hike up to pull from the waitlist. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PULL YOURSELF UP A ROPE IN TWO SEPERATE AREAS. AND..........HAVE A RESPECT FOR EXPOSURE. If you are not in good hiking shape, are afraid of exposure or can't climb a rope yet.......please wait until you are ready to do this hike.
