Backpack to Plum Canyon

Join me for an easy introduction to Anza Borrego Desert State Park including an overview of common plants and animals that make the desert their home.

• Saturday follow scenic Plum Canyon along the California Hiking & Riding Trail, then branch off into a side wash to our campsite only about a mile into the canyon.
• A cross country day hike around and over the local high point, taking in the views from the top before returning to camp. The day hike is only about 2 miles, but does have some challenging terrain.
• Relax and socialize during the evening (buddy burners welcome!).
• Sunday we simply pack up and hike back out.
