Los Tajos de Alhama de Granada
Details
Hi everyone, I know how easy it is to hibernate in winter! I’m organising a gentle, social walk this Sunday for anyone who wants to get out, move their body, and chat with nice people without having to worry about the route.
This week we are heading to the stunning Alhama de Granada to walk the famous "Los Tajos" gorge. It is one of the most dramatic views in Andalusia!
The Plan:
Route: The "Los Tajos" gorge trail. We walk along the top of the cliffs (incredible views!) and down into the valley floor along the river.
Distance: 4.5 km (approx. 2.8 miles).
The Terrain: This is a short but beautiful route. Please note: To see these amazing views, we do have to go down and back up! There is one steep climb (100m elevation gain) to get us back up to the town. We will take it slow, no rushing!
Transport: I have a van and can take passengers for €10 contribution (leaving Torre del Mar at 9:00 AM).
After: We’ll finish with a well-earned coffee/tapas stop in the historic town square.
Time: Sunday, 10:30 AM start (back in Torre by roughly 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM).
Cost: €15 for the guiding/organisation.
It’s a small, friendly group (max 10 people). Solo folks especially welcome—you won’t be alone!
Drop a comment 'WALK' below if you'd like to join or grab a seat in the van! Let’s enjoy this sunshine while the rest of Europe freezes!
