Vroman’s Nose is just under 2 miles with 500ish feet of elevation.
The top features gorgeous views

Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed & under your control while on the trail.

VISCHER FERRY NATURE PRESERVE -MEET AT 8PM /HIKE Starts 815PM. .Trailhead located on Riverview Rd , Clifton Park at Van Vranken Rd. Intersection. **Carpool if possible as parking is limited.**

OK for beginners if you do not mind hiking after dark and are capable of walking 3-4 miles with minimal elevation gain.

The location map for trailhead depicted here is accurate. Wear non cotton layers for the weather,and hiking boots. No sneakers. Bring water, snacks. No dogs please. Also bring ,flashlight /headlamp,bugspray. Please check yourself for ticks after the hike. Start the day in Middleburgh with a short hike up the everchanging trails of Vroman's Nose.
At the top, there is an awesome view of the Schoharie Valley that is worth the effort, as well as the drive. This is a short, but sweet, hike with an elevation of about 500ft. The hike is a loop that is approximately 2 miles, and generally takes about one hour - depending on how long you linger at the top to take in the beautiful view!

The main trailhead for Vroman's Nose is a large parking area on Mill Valley Road in Middleburgh. There is a sign for the parking area.
