The LAKE PLACID LOPPET is a celebration of cross-country skiing for all ages and abilities so come along and join the fun. We'll meet at the Mt. Van Hovenberg Lodge and spend the day at this world class athletic venue.
When: Sunday, January 25, 2026
Where: Mt Van Hovenberg, Lake Placid
Time: Exact meeting time and place to be determined.
What: You must register to participate in the Loppet. Choose between a 3, 7.5, 12, 25 or 50 km course and ski away until you finish or surrender. When not skiing, enjoy the many amenities and comradery at the Mount Van Hovenberg Lodge.

For anyone interested in extending your adventure,
join us for a recreational ski at Paul Smith’s VIC Center the next day.
Stay overnight after the Loppet on Sunday at the beautiful Crowne Plaza in Lake Placid. On Monday, January 26 we'll drive up to the VIC Center (23 miles away) for some of the most scenic skiing in the Northeast.
Currently rates at the Crowne Plaza are very reasonable. It is advised that you book soon if interested in case there's a price hike.
$115/per room (includes tax/fees, no refund if cancelled)
