Study of Chapter 15, Verses 18 - 20:

The Way to the Supreme Spirit

Discussion Themes:

  • UNIFIED THEORY: Scientists are searching for a ‘complete unified theory’ to explain why we and the universe exist. As Stephen W. Hawking said, ‘If we find the answer to that, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason—for then we would know the mind of God.’ Ancient yogis developed their own scientific approach to these big questions. Instead of using theories, equations, or particle experiments, they found answers through deep meditation and direct experience. Their discoveries do not have to be accepted on faith alone. Like modern science, these answers can be tested using established methods.
  • AN AUDACIOUS CLAIM: ‘All the universes, the present and the past, are just waves in that infinite ocean which I am; that is my true nature. I am not this body; I am not this little thing. What an audacious claim for a man or woman to say this! That is what a human being can do. That is our true nature – Infinite caught up in a finite net, and struggling to get out of it.’
  • SUPREME TREASURE: Eastern wisdom often says, ‘There is only one Reality’ behind the many forms of the universe. This Reality is divine and brings deep peace. As we move forward on our spiritual journey, this supreme treasure can enrich our lives.

We're a multicultural group of varying ages, including our Vedanta Society members and friends. We always welcome new faces and hear new perspectives.
