Landscapes: learning from online art tutorials

Hello!

Not our usual session: today we're going to take advantage of the world of online art tutorials to learn some fundamentals of landscape drawing.

We will still be doing plenty of our usual private sketching, but this session will integrate some demonstrations that I have found online, to give us some options for how we could choose to structure our approach to drawing landscapes in the future.

Some items we will cover:

values: what are they?
drawing outlines
The rule of three
shading
zooming in and out
selecting focal points
using different media

as usual a ten minute tea break in the middle and a voluntary show and tell at the end.
