Hello, we're It's a Date - a London-based speed dating and singles events company. We’re professional icebreakers; reviving London’s dating scene with feel-good events, in awesome venues, with fun and charismatic hosts.
Personal experience and our single friends have taught us that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to finding love. It’s why we set to work redesigning dating events, creating opportunities for you to express yourself authentically and meet like-minded singles.
Picture this: you’re in a fabulous venue mingling amongst people who had just the same thought as you. Cue our vivacious hosts for the night, trained to help you ditch your inhibitions, and you’ve just turbocharged your chances of meeting ‘the one’.

Moments from Liverpool St. and Aldgate stations, and at the foot of an iconic London landmark – The Gherkin, you’ll find The Alchemist—a chic, stylish, open-plan cocktail bar buzzing with a lively atmosphere and a Cosmopolitan crowd (pun intended).
Over 120 single guests will gather here to make new connections in a naturally relaxed and vibrant setting. Our high-energy hosts provide the ultimate social glue, welcoming you with a complimentary drink (if you arrive before 20:00), introducing you to others, and ensuring you’re having a fantastic time mingling throughout the evening.
We kick things off at 19:30 when your host will be ready to greet you at the venue. If you’re unsure where to go, simply ask the friendly bar team. Once there, you’ll be shown to the exclusive event area, offered an optional name sticker, and guided on where to leave your jacket. When you’ve settled in, your host will make introductions and encourage group mingling to help you feel right at home.
Singles parties at The Alchemist are casual and relaxed—perfect for chatting with people who spark your interest without any pressure. With over 120 attendees at every event, there’s plenty of time to connect with others, enjoy a drink or two, and soak up the lively atmosphere. Throughout the night, your host will ensure everyone gets the chance to meet and make introductions if requested. To top things off, The Alchemists resident DJ will be providing the soundtrack to your evening until late.
After the event concludes, you can log into your online dashboard to leave feedback on the people you’ve met. Matches are created when two guests express mutual interest, giving you the chance to connect and message through our platform.

Designed for guests aged 30 to 45 looking to connect(4) with fun-loving singles during a relaxed and informal board games inspired evening.
Draughts is a super-fun concept bar located in the iconic Leake Street Graffiti tunnel just steps away from Waterloo Station. This unique games-themed event is hosted in a private area of the venue – The Loft, with a contemporary vibe, beautifully exposed brickwork, and our own private bar.
This is a doubles speed dating event, so be prepared to get to know other single people in an entertaining and interactive way as you move between tables playing new and nostalgic games in groups of four. Designed for social singles booking individually or with friends, you will be welcomed by our host at 19:15 and have the chance to grab a drink from the bar before we begin.
Ladies will be paired and seated comfortably on tables with various board games. These are selected to be short in duration (approximately 12-minutes) and great for helping you break the ice as you get to know your fellow players. Gents will be invited to rotate around the tables in pairs, playing a variety of entertaining games, having no shortage of laughs along the way.
There will be a half-time comfort break and lots of opportunity to mingle with others in this informal yet lively setting.
Post-event matching will be available on your It’s a Date dashboard where you could find you’re on a winning streak in love as well as in Jenga!

Located on Gresham Street, just a 3-minute walk from Bank Station, The Anthologist is a contemporary bar featuring a cosy semi-private seating area reserved exclusively for your It’s a Date event. With its remarkably warm and welcoming vibe, paired with our charismatic host and a fantastic group of outgoing singles, you’ve got the perfect recipe for an entertaining evening of introductions!
Our host will be at the venue ready to welcome you at 19:30. Please arrive on time for registration, to grab any drinks from the bar, and receive a summary of how things will work. You will be given an optional name sticker, a pen, and note card to keep track of everyone you’ve met.
Ladies will be seated on tables adequately spaced, discreetly numbered, and arranged in a comfortable area of the venue. When speed dating commences, gents will join ladies for 5-minute dates to get to know one another. Your host will notify all guests at the end of each date, signalling for gents to move to the next table in ascending numerical order.
During table rotations you will have a moment to record on note cards your feelings towards the previous date and intention to reconnect, for your reference only.
Mid-way through the evening, your host will indicate a 15-minute comfort break to use the rest room, head to the bar, or socialise with new connections. Dating will then resume for the second half of the evening.
At the end of the speed dating the bar will remain open for more socialising. You can then access the event listing in your dashboard to enter feedback on dates and await your matches.

Join us in The Tap Room, a private events space at 3 Locks Brewing Co. This independent venue is quirky, contemporary, and oh-so-comfortable, serving craft beers brewed on-site, plus a great selection of wines and soft drinks—so there’s something (and hopefully someone!) for everyone.
You’ll be in great company with 30 other guests in a cosy private space under the arches, overlooking Camden Locks. Expect a relaxed and sociable evening of mingling with lovely single Londoners.
Our host will be at the venue, ready to welcome you from 19:30. Please arrive on time for registration, grab a drink from the bar, and get a quick rundown of how the evening will unfold. You’ll receive an optional name sticker, a pen, and a note card to keep track of everyone you meet.
How It Works:
Ladies will be seated at comfortably spaced, discreetly numbered tables. When speed dating begins, gents will rotate between tables, enjoying 5-minute mini-dates to get to know each other. Your host will signal the end of each date, prompting gents to move to the next table in ascending numerical order.After each date, you’ll have a moment to jot down your thoughts and interest level on your note card—for your eyes only! Midway through the evening, we’ll take a 15-minute comfort break—perfect for freshening up, grabbing another drink, or mingling with new connections. The dating will then resume for round two.
When speed dating wraps up, the bar stays open, giving you more time to chat, connect, and enjoy the night. You’ll also be able to log into your event dashboard to enter feedback and check for potential matches.

Prepare to strike it lucky with 30 guests in the 25 to 38 age group as we take to the lanes at this lively evening of introductions, entertainment, and…you guessed it – bowling!
All Star Lanes Holborn is an intimate, retro-style venue that’s perfect for bowling over potential matches as you rack up those strikes…or gutter-balls(?!) Whatever your bowling-game, it’s all light-hearted, heaps of fun, and a great opportunity to meet likeminded singles either on the lanes or socialising in a private networking space reserved exclusively for It’s a Date. Throughout the evening, the bar team keep everyone refreshed with creative cocktails, craft beers, wines, and for those looking for the authentic All-Star experience – delicious milkshakes.
This bowling themed event is ideal for fun-loving singles booking individually or with friends. Everyone will be welcomed by our host at 19:15 who will offer you a name sticker, direct you to our private area, and ensure you have time to grab a drink before we begin.
Guests alternate between the lanes in mixed groups of guys and girls for an action-packed game of bowling designed to break the ice, get the conversation flowing, and become acquainted with your fellow teammates. While not bowling, you will have the chance to socialise more widely as our host is on-hand to make introductions to all other guests.
At the end of the games, we will tot-up the scores and announce our King- or Queen-pin of the evening. However, if previous events are anything to go by, everyone’s a winner at this great fun evening.
