This month, We will talk about sports-themed haiku.

Haiku poetry is often related to changes in seasons. Since Malaysia has summerlike temperatures all year long, it's okay to write haiku that doesn't reference seasons. In old Japan, January was considered the beginning of spring, if you'd like to give that a try.

A haiku is a three-line poem with a 5, 7, 5 syllable structure. The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven, and the third line has five, for a total of 17 syllables. Traditional haiku often focus on nature, and they typically do not rhyme.

Write a sports-themed haiku, bring it to the meetup and let's have some fun.

俳句は季節の移り変わりと関連付けられることが多いです。マレーシアは一年中夏のような気温なので、季節に関係のない俳句（無季）を書いても大丈夫です。昔の日本では、1月が春の始まりと考えられていました。もしよろしければ、春の季語を試してみてください。

俳句は5・7・5音節の3行詩です。1行目は5音節、2行目は7音節、3行目は5音節で、合計17音節です。伝統的な俳句は自然をテーマにしていることが多く、通常は韻を踏みません。
