Claude Agent Workshop: Design, Build & Test AI Agents
Details
A one-day, hands-on workshop in Melbourne, delivered in English.
You’ve used Claude to write code or answer questions. Now you want to build an agent that can use tools, work with context and carry out a task.
How should you structure it? Which tools should it have access to? And how do you test whether it behaves as intended?
Join Roy, AI Engineer at [V2.ai](https://v2.ai/?utm_source=luma), for a practical workshop focused on designing, building and testing Claude agents. Explore the decisions behind an agent’s architecture, work through its core components, and practise testing and refining its behaviour.
The workshop uses content provided by Anthropic and is based on Claude Certified Architect – Foundations.
## What you’ll work on
Throughout the day, you’ll explore five connected areas:
- Agent architecture: Structure an agent’s workflow and understand how its components work together.
- Tools & MCP: Explore how agents connect to tools and external capabilities through the Model Context Protocol.
- Claude Code: Work with Claude Code as part of your development workflow.
- Prompts & structured outputs: Write clearer instructions and shape outputs for use in applications.
- Context & reliability: Manage the information an agent needs and test how consistently it performs.
The focus is practical: connect these concepts to the choices you make when building an agent, then test and refine your approach.
## Who this workshop is for
This workshop is designed for developers, aspiring AI engineers and technical builders who want practical experience with Claude agents.
It’s particularly relevant if you’ve been experimenting with Claude and want a clearer understanding of agent architecture, tool integration and reliability.
