Show off your Boys Scout or Girls scout skills as we camp at Harpers Ferry Campground. This campsite is somewhat a primitive site. It has no water or electric on individual site. It does have a bath house and portable restrooms with running water. There is a train that runs in the distance of the campground. The campground does offer walking and biking trails. It has a 1.5 walking miles or we can carpool directly to Harpers Ferry where we can take in the sights and grab a bite to eat. There we can canoe, kayak and paddle boards for a fee. The Hapers Ferry Adventure Center is also located there in which you can partake in tubing, rafting, zip line and a rope course. So have fun dusting off your childhood skills. Let's see how much we remember!

Time to go on another camping adventure. Let's go to Smallwood State Park. The park is named after William Smallwood. He was a Revolutionary War officer and Governor of Maryland. We will visit his plantation house. The park is located on the Mattowoman Creek which is a tributary of the Potomac River. There is fishing, boating, hiking and nature trails. There is also a Discovery Center .After we have finished the day, we'll unwind with food and fellowship! Love for you to join us!

COST: $20.00 per person for both nights/one night. Your payment is due to me as group site payment was required upfront.

Upon arrival, please check in with the office and let them know that you are with the JANE DAVIS group.

We are LIMITED to 10 CAMPERS. Please RSVP with integrity. No-shows and last-minute drops will be seen as inconsiderate and will have consequences.

Proposed Schedule:
Friday, Oct 31- Arrive. Set up. Discuss Saturday's activities.
Saturday, Nov 1: Group activities 5pm: Group dinner
Sunday, Nov 2: Breakfast, strike camp and return home

Participation in the above schedule is purely voluntary as there are so many other activities.

DETAILS:
This is a group site. Please keep this in mind when you set up. Amenities include a fire ring and couple tables. Water, bathroom/showers are nearby. NO electricity. Everything else will need to be brought with you. For individual sites or cabins, please contact the CG.

For the group dinner, please keep these things in mind:

1. Please, no chips or veggie trays as your main dish as they are rarely consumed among more suitable dinner items.

2. Please do not bring food that you have no way of preparing or keeping refrigerated if needed.

3. Unless you are very experienced with cooking over a fire, do not depend on a campfire to cook your food. Fires are weather dependent and sometime temperamental. Unless you cut your own wood, there is no way of knowing what the wood has been exposed to.

I ask that everyone bring a bundle of firewood to support our evening campfire.

Alcoholic beverages allowed but must remain within the camping area.

If you are planning to bring a pet, please get your own site. This is for the safety of all.

Let's Do It Again!
We'll camp out at the Cross Trail Hostel over looking the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Cross Trails Hostel features a campground, a woman shared dorm room, a men shared dorm room and private rooms. We will visit / tour the Two Twisted Post Winery. Free to visit. $35 to tour with wine tasting. Enjoy a movie night with fresh buttery popcorn. We will share a pot luck home style meal. Play table game and fellowship with one another. Amenities include free parking, breakfast, bicycle rental and wifi. Other amenities include full size kitchen, laundry room, plenty of bathrooms and showers, screen house, large outdoor porch, grills, and an outdoor brick pizza oven.
