This trail is epic if you haven’t been and are capable. I highly recommended going if you’ve never been. This trail has it all, views , waterfalls , a massive rock house , creek crossings , ect. You will be tired, you will be sore, you will use every musclin your body , but when you are finished you will feel accomplished and never forget this trail. This will be my 6th time, that’s how high on my list this trail is. I don’t want to give ppl the wrong idea , It’s not impossible for most, but i would rate this trail as hard to strenuous and worth every bit. AllTrails description is off. We will be doing about 6.5 miles once it’s all said and done. Our pace will only be a mile per hour to mile and a half at best. I will navigate as I’m familiar. It will be a full day. Boots highly recommend , stick or poles also recommended. Food and plenty of water, we will be taking our time to appreciate and rest. Cell service is very spotty at best, you will want to take a lot of pictures and i recommend a battery backup . My phone must stay on to navigate, if you’re not paying attention It would be easy to lose the trail In many spots. Do not be scared , but be prepared. There is so much to see. We absolutely will not be going In rain, that would be Insane. Parking lot is small-Ish. Road In is better than it has been, smoothed out. If you are in a car once you hit the dirt take your time but you will be fine. Guest always welcome, and please respectful if you RSVP and change your mind, please cancel. It’s about an hour and a half drive from Knoxville and we need to start as close to time as possible. To get as much out if this hike as possible, we will be going clockwise and coming back up the stair ladders at the overlook and then the final mile down the road back to our cars. I will have room in my truck for 3-4 people If anyone wants to ride with . Reach out with any questions .
