Ladies Still Wanna Have Fun

We are a very cool group of Rhode Island ladies, generally ranging in age from 50’s-80’s.

We believe in living a vibrant life so we are always up for an adventure. We take walks, we go on hikes, we visit museums and art galleries, we go to lunch, we go for coffee, we go to movies, we love wineries and breweries, we go sailing, we do food tours, we go to the beach, we take cooking classes, we go golfing, we take in art exhibits and go to concerts. We’ve even done glass blowing and gone kayaking. Most months we host a Book Club and also a lunch at a local restaurant.

Our activities are, for the most part, spread out across RI but we also often schedule things in CT and MA because our members are spread out all across the state.

Many friendships have developed because of this group. We have celebrated many milestones together and even our spouses occasionally join in the fun.

This group is a great way to make new friends while exploring things to do in southern New England.

Why do we charge dues? The cost of hosting a Meetup site is considerably higher than the oft-quoted $299.99. Meetup tacks on sales tax, banking charges, service charges and transfer fees which add up.
As a group, we also believe in giving back to our community. We take great pride in being able to brighten the day of a member who might need a bit of cheering up or some support. We have gifted members with flowers, plants and deliveries of food in times of illness. If a member is in need of something (and we have the reserves to cover it) we are happy to help. We may use funds to secure a large event space for
a party or possibly to host an event to mark a special occasion. We are open to suggestions.
Finally, all new members receive a free trial period lasting 2 months to see if our group is a “good fit.” Our membership is a rolling membership meaning people can join our group at any time during the year.
