What we’re about
If you love playing or just listening to the piano then our group is for you!
Whatever your ability, experience or musical style you'll be welcome. The idea is to provide a monthly opportunity to play to a friendly group of like-minded people. We have the use of a number of Manchester venues, all with excellent (9ft) grand pianos. The events will be informal, the aim being to increase performance confidence, have fun and meet new people. If you'd like to try a duet, bring it along!
Free refreshments included. There's also no requirement to play or even be a pianist, being part of the audience is a great encouragement to the players. Our events are once a month, typically on the the second Saturday.
It’s £7 to attend whether playing or an audience member, this covers to cover the venue rental, insurance and refreshments.

All welcome to attend this year's Let's Play The Piano Manchester annual concert. We're very grateful again to Forsyths in Deansgate for supporting this concert.

Further to the success of our previous three concerts, it'll be another fantastic 100 minute programme featuring 19 of our players. We look forward to presenting you with an exciting and wide range of piano repertoire, all in the stunning first floor showroom at Forsyths.
Note - Attendance is FREE but there'll be an opportunity to make a donation to a local good cause on the night (by both in-person and online attendees)
There will also be a bar from 6.15pm in advance of the 7pm concert start and during the interval. A souvenir programme will be available for £2 with more info on our talented performers and the music performed. We'll publish the programme about a week before and also make a recording of the concert available to all afterwards.

Founded in 2015, Let’s Play The Piano, is now a national network on 9 amateur piano clubs. The monthly piano group events appeal to all ages, musical tastes and levels of experience. People are welcome to perform or just come to enjoy the music, having the audience adds great value to the event for the players. It’s also an excellent way for members to make new friends and gain confidence both musically and socially. Let’s Play The Piano currently uses 13 venues across the country selected for the quality of their pianos, mainly Steinway, Yamaha and Schimmel Concert grands. There have been around 800 events across the country since 2015, also including on-going monthly Zoom sessions for all groups combined.For more information you're welcome to contact organiser Ben Richards
