About us
Our purpose is to meet other singles of any/all ages who are more likely to share our progressive or liberal leanings. To decrease the odds of a failed conversation or negative first impression more likely to occur in any other social gathering. We have traditionally been a social group, to share places and conversations rather than any specific cause or objective. A goal is to have a balance of venues, day/night, indoor/outdoor, and weekday/weekend meetups appealing to our diversity of members.
We are an Indianapolis area-wide group. Like the original founder of the group, I am a Southsider so we need organizers from around the Metro area. Just ask to be an event organizer. It's quite easy to schedule an event at a location of your choosing and for as few or as many people as you want. Although not a question, we assume members are COVID vaccinated and boosted.

Singing Resistance Teach-In

Singing Resistance is a growing mass movement of singers across the U.S., raising their voices in grief, power, and solidarity. At this teach-in, you’ll have the chance to learn the inspiring songs sweeping the nation — songs that are being sung at rallies, vigils, and community gatherings to build courage and connection.
No experience needed — just bring your voice and your willingness to sing together.
Indy Singing Resistance is a community that makes music in peaceful protest and collective hope. We sing to counter injustice, honor our shared humanity, and imagine a more just future. Rooted in freedom, love, and courage. All voices welcome.Their first sing in Sunday evening, Feb 15, on the south side of Monument Circle was attended by around 200 people. Music filled the circle as the group sang in support for Minneapolis.
Those signing up can arrange to go for lunch after the event.
