New Years Eve Hike in Boulder from Chautauqua Trailhead

I need to be done hiking early on New Years Eve, so let’s just do a shorter hike out of Boulder. I’ll likely be doing something bigger on New Years Day to bring in the New Year right.
Difficulty: about 5.5 miles with about 1,200 feet elevation gain.
DOGS NOT ALLOWED. A portion of this hike does not allow dogs.
HIKE DESCRIPTION: On this hike, we will start out at Chautauqua and hike through the Bluebell Canyon area and beyond forming 3 loops. This hike is not in alltrails, but I will post the planned route in photos for this event. ADDRESS/DIRECTIONS: We will meet at the Chautauqua Trailhead in Boulder. If you use Google maps, you can type in “Chautauqua Trailhead” for directions. If you use Apple Maps, you can type in “Chautauqua Trail” for directions.
We wait 5 minutes for late arrivals…but no longer as that is inconsiderate to those arriving timely. So please allow extra time to get to the trailhead.

NO SHOWS: If you are a no-show to 2 hikes, you will be booted from this meetup group. So please change your RSVP to “not going” if you are unable to make it.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: Water, snacks, layers of clothing, good hiking shoes/boots, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, gloves, hiking poles (if you find them helpful), and anything else you deem essential. PLEASE ALSO BEING MICROSPIKES IN CASE WE NEED THEM.
