Details
Pianist and composer Vijay Iyer is a MacArthur Fellow who has been named DownBeat's Jazz Artist of the Year multiple times. For this show, he is joined by acclaimed tabla player Nitin Mitta and sarod master Alam Khan, who carries the traditions of his father, the legendary Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, into the present through boundary-crossing collaborations. This trio's debut EP will be released next year.
SHOW COST : General Admission ticket prices start at $42, including service fees. ... NOTE: For this show, there are also premium tickets for the center-front seating area, but those are about 20 bucks costlier. Thanks to the Freight's layout and acoustics, there really are no bad seats there, so I'm opting for a cheaper ticket! :)
