Nicholas Stewart, a partner at Australia’s only “out loud and proud LGBTI law firm”, has spent four years campaigning for an inquiry into one of NSW’s darkest chapters: the gay-hate crimes and bungled police investigations that plagued the state from 1970 to 2000.

Nicholas will table high-profile cases such as the Sydney gay hate crimes case and other contemporary issues being faced today from a legal standpoint. This event invites discussion and enquiry, a CPD event not to be missed.
LGBTIQA+ is an evolving acronym that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual. Many other terms (such as non-binary and pansexual) people use to describe experiences of their gender, sexuality and physiological sex characteristics.
This CPD seminar will be conducted in a video conferencing format and attendees will be provided with a Zoom link on the day of the event.
Legal Practitioners and non-Legal Practitioners are welcome to attend the seminar. The fee to attend the seminar is $11.00 inclusive of goods and services tax.
