The Gray House: Premiere Screening and Talk-Back
Details
Join the American Civil War Museum and the Virginia Museum of History & Culture for an exciting screening and talk-back featuring “The Gray House,” an epic about a Richmond network of female spies who help turn the tide of the war. The drama is based on the true story of a group of unsung women, a Virginia socialite, her mother, a formerly enslaved sister-in-arms, and the city’s most notorious courtesan. They operate deep inside the corridors of Confederate power and transform an underground railroad into an effective underground spy network, risking life, and liberty.
90 minutes of the series will be screened in the VMHC’s Robins Family Forum, followed by a talk-back with Public Historian Christy Coleman in conversation with writer/producer Darrell Fetty, producer Keith Neal, and actress Amethyst Davis.
