Holiday Horrors Mini-Marathon at The Black Potion!
Details
Hello SA Movie Lovers! It may be short notice for this event, but it's no surprise that the holidays are here. That means it’s time for our Holiday Horrors Mini-Marathon! Three delightfully twisted, bloody, musical, and chaotic films to slice through the season’s sweetness. Whether you want zombies, slashers, or neon-soaked robot Santa carnage, we’ve got a stocking full of cinematic nightmares waiting for you.
### 5:00pm – Anna and the Apocalypse (2017)
It’s Christmas… with zombies… and songs. This endlessly charming Scottish horror-musical follows a group of teens fighting their way through the undead during the holidays. Funny, heartfelt, absurdly catchy, and gory in all the right ways — a one-of-a-kind seasonal treat.
### 6:50pm – Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
The infamous holiday slasher that shocked audiences in the ‘80s. When a traumatized young man dons a Santa suit, his path of vengeance cuts through town with an axe in hand. Controversial, campy, and now fully embraced as a seasonal cult classic.
### 8:20pm – Christmas Bloody Christmas (2022)
Writer-director Joe Begos delivers a neon-drenched sleigh ride of heavy metal, drunken chaos, and a malfunctioning robot Santa murdering its way across town. Loud, stylish, and wildly fun with a crowd — perfect late-night holiday mayhem.
Three movies. One festive massacre. FREE all night long.
I'll be at the Black Potion (1900 Fredericksburg Rd) around 4:30pm to welcome everyone. Come grab a cold drink and a snack out front & join me back in the theater (past the bar, down the hall, second door on the right) before showtime!
Free parking is available in front and along the side of the theater, as well as in a big lot behind the store across Lynwood Ave.
As always, Black Potion Movie Daze screenings are FREE—so grab your friends & family and come join us! Hope to see you there!!
