Hello Movie Fans!

This Sunday The Black Potion is kicking off February with International Romance — two beautiful, very different love stories from Spain and Hong Kong that explore longing, desire, and the paths not taken.

6:00pm – In the Mood for Love (2000)
Wong Kar-wai’s lush, hypnotic masterpiece follows two neighbors whose emotional connection grows quietly in the shadows of betrayal. Told through glances, pauses, and aching restraint, it’s one of the most romantic and visually stunning films ever made.

7:50pm – Belle Époque (1992)
Set in pre-Civil War Spain, this Oscar-winning romantic comedy centers on a young man who finds himself entangled with four very different sisters. Warm, funny, and bursting with life, it’s a playful celebration of love, freedom, and human connection.

Two international classics, two distinct visions of romance, and one perfect Sunday night at Black Potion.

As always, the movies at Black Potion are FREE, so grab some friends and join us — we’d love to see you there!

I'll be at the store around 5:30pm to set things up and welcome everyone in. Come grab a cold drink and a snack out front & join me back in the theater (past the bar, down the hall, second door on the right) before showtime!

Free parking is available in front and along the side of the theater, as well as in a big lot behind the store across Lynwood Ave.
