John Lennon would have been 85 years old now, if he had not been assassinated.
Join us for a John Lennon uke zoom session, on the anniversary of his tragic passing on December 8th, 1980.
Forty-five years later, the world still mourns the loss of a voice that tirelessly championed peace and love. From the revolutionary anthems of The Beatles to the deeply personal and politically charged songs of his solo career—like the eternal call to unity in "Imagine" and the simple plea of "Give Peace a Chance"—John Lennon's music continues to inspire generations.
The playlist includes:

Give Peace A Chance
Power To The People
Instant Karma
Stand By Me (cover)
Just Like Starting Over
Watching The Wheels
Jealous Guy
Mind Games
Imagine
Woman
We'll also include lots of Beatles songs where he was the main composer e.g. Strawberry Fields Forever, Come Together, In My Life, Help, Dear Prudence, Norwegian Wood, etc
If you can only attend part of the session or can only join in late, feel free to do so - your entry will not disrupt the session because of the Zoom settings I have chosen.
If you know someone who wants to learn ukulele, do invite them to join in or observe. It's a great way to chill out and pick up some musical tips.
What do I need?

- A ukulele (please tune it before starting - search Youtube for help)
- A computer/laptop/tablet - anything with a large screen to see the songsheet.
- Earphones/headphones - to get the clearest sound
- a reasonably good Internet connection
The session is free but if you like our sessions and want to contribute to our operating expenses please make a small donation to https://paypal.me/fihanafiah

Thank you!
