In the last couple of years Hadoop has become synonymous with Big Data. In the time since it came out Hadoop has grown into a vast and popular ecosystem and advanced to become the de-facto standard cloud for data management.
HDinsight is the Microsoft Azure Hadoop service, based on the Hortonworks Hadoop distribution. In this session we'll learn how to use Hadoop on Microsoft Azure, explore its storage solutions, understand key scenarios for Hadoop in the cloud and take a look at some of the latest advancements in the Hadoop ecosystem and the HDInsight offerings, such as Hive 13, YARN and HBase.
