TAOP MIAMI - LITTLE HAVANA'S -CALLE 8- PHOTOWALK & FIELD PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Details
You're cordially invited to join our group on a "hands-on" opportunity to create great photo images in this interesting and diverse area of Miami. Calle Ocho -in Little Havana, is a fantastic location for "Street Photography" with very unusual and challenging photo opportunities.
Come ready to "create magic moments" with... strong wall murals backgrounds, interesting characters, art galleries, cigar rolling factories, dancers / musicians, and unusual local scenery. If you so desire, you can stay after our photoshoot to enjoy a typical (and inexpensive) great meal from the many restaurants in the area.
The workshop leader / instructor (Rafael) taught photography classes and has personally led many field photoshoots for over 15 years and will be available all along this shoot for specific tips, technical consultation, and photography info to capture better images and make this a memorable learning experience PLUS a vast historic knowledge of the area - This workshop is a “One-of-a-Kind” technically supported photoshoot with attention to practical learning (and some local history) for which there is a $10 fee.
-PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE IN PROTECTING THEMSELVES AND OTHER GROUP MEMBERS AGAINST POSSIBLE VIRUS CONTAMINATION BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE / IT IS IMPLICITLY AFFIRMED (IN THIS AND ALL MEETUP OUTINGS) THAT EACH ATTENDING PARTICIPANT IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS/HER OWN ACTIONS, PROTECTION, AND SAFEKEEPING-
UPDATE...
IT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT MORNING FOR OUR PHOTOSHOOT with partly sunny skies and low chance of rain, with temperatures in the mid-70s.
WE’LL MEET ON THE SOUTH SIDEWALK OF SW 8 STREET NEXT AT DOMINO PARK (1444 SW 8 Street, Miami 33135) AT 10:00 AM to go over our walk, collect the $10 MeetUp fee, review the available lighting conditions and controls of choice (benefits and drawbacks) -with possible camera setting, and address any concern or interest, remembering that we’ll walk together while identifying photo ideas, technical solutions, and some local history -along the way.
Clean and ready your gear and take a test shot to confirm all is working fine. I recommend packing light for comfort and ease of movement. Bring water -if you’ll like, but there are many cafeterias and restaurants along our route, where you could also have a good lunch or snacks during or afterwards. Tripods are not advisable since they are an impediment to foot traffic.
ALSO… COME READY FOR A GREAT PHOTOWALK!
