Yes, that's right! We're returning to an in-person meetup for September!

If you'd prefer to connect remotely don't fear! We'll be streaming over Zoom and using the MicroPython Discord Melbourne channel for Q&A.

This month we have an international guest speaker - Kevin McAleer! Kevin is a Project Manger by day and Robot Builder by night; his many robots are exceptionally well designed and built and he shares a lot of his work online. MicroPython is used to power all of his robots. Kevin will talk about some of the robots and devices he's built and discuss how MicroPython has played a key role in their development.

We also have a interstate speaker: Jim Mussared will be discussing some of the new MicroPython features that have hit mainline recently - including the very cool async REPL.

I will, as usual, be giving a news roundup.

If you're attending in-person please bring your hardware - or if you don't have any I'll bring enough to get you going.

Links: Connect remotely on Zoom. Use the MicroPython Discord Melbourne Channel for text communications. Check the time in your timezone.

People are welcome on-site at the CCHS from 6:30pm but we usually get the talks underway at 7:00-7:30 - keep an eye on discord for updates near that time.
