What we’re about
This is a group that provides a comfort level in knowing that other minorities participate in winter\summer activities like hiking, skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, camping, kayaking, bouldering, etc. All skill levels are welcome. I started this group to meet other outdoor enthusiasts of color. Everyone is welcome to join and anyone can attend the events, you don't have to be a minority. Looking forward to exploring the outdoors with everybody

Crest of Montezuma (Placitas) -Exploratory

I have never hiked this route before.
Pace: 2 to 2.5 miles per hour
Buddy system: Pair up with someone with roughly the same pace for safety. Some hikers may hike faster or slower.
The distance should be about 4-5 miles and elevation gain about 500 feet. It seems to be a moderate route.

Bring your hat, about 1.5 to 2 liters of water, poles and gloves if you use them, and sack lunch. Wear layers.
Dogs: Please leash up at snack/lunch breaks.
