Sunday Night Kirtan and Vegetarian Dinner (In Sugar House Park!)
Details
Start the week off right with our Sunday night kirtan meditation, and vegetarian dinner! This program is a great way to relax, focus inward, and spend time getting to know others who are interested in making positive changes in their lives.
Kirtan is a clearly guided, group meditation practice using yoga mantras accompanied by live acoustic music. It is a relaxing and centering practice which leaves one in a peaceful condition of mind and heart.
Everything for the meal is provided. Meals will almost always be fully vegan. We accept donations if you would like to help us cover the costs of putting on the events, but there is no obligation. All of our events are FREE.
HOW TO FIND US:
Our location will be easily accessible from the Sugar House Garden Center Building parking lot right off of 2100 S, as well as the community garden within Sugar House Park.
From the Garden Center Building, walk south behind the center for a couple hundred yards and you will see us set up in the grass. There will also be a "Meditation SLC" banner that will be visible as you approach.
From the community garden and the road within Sugar House Park, keep your eye out for the van with the "Meditation SLC" banner on it, park by the community garden and walk to the east behind the garden for about a hundred yards. Look for another "Meditation SLC" banner at our location. The community garden is on the east side of the Sugar House Park, just past the Highland High School ball fields and up the small hill.
(Check out the map and pin for a visual and coordinates.)
**Come prepared with appropriate clothes for the weather, and something to sit on if you like. We will be in the grass.
