Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of MD is a Jewish hiking/social club for the Washington Metropolitan Area, MD, Washington DC, VA. Our parent organization is Mosaic Outdoor Clubs of America.
If you're under 18, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent or guardian).

I am aware that the activities of the Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of Maryland (Mosaic) may be extremely hazardous and I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved. I hereby accept and assume any and all risks including but not limited to injury, damage, or death.
I am aware that this is a release of liability between myself and Mosaic, including but not limited to its officers, directors, members, agents, leaders, instructors, guides, volunteers, employees, and representatives. I sign this of my own free will and am not under the influence of alcohol,drugs, or narcotics.
I agree to be solely responsible for my own safety and that of any minors in my charge. I represent and warrant any minors in my charge, and agree to make my own decisions regarding my own safety and the safety of those in my charge while participating in the activities of Mosaic. If I am not currently a member of Mosaic, I agree to pay the specified non-member fee, if required.

This is the all music friday night service at Temple Beth Ami.
They recently hired a new Hazzan, Cantor Inbal Sharett-Singer, who based on the photos I saw is also left-handed guitar player. Hopefully she'll be there to provide some nice melodies this Friday night. They usually have a good Oneg afterwards.

- Walk: The "Stairmaster 2: Electric Boogaloo" w/ Lunch (Gaithersburg)Lapu Lapu, Gaithersburg, MD
This 8.2mile hard walk is mostly paved, but has 470 stairs/ steps spread throughout. Pace: 3mph. The trek ganders about the Gaithersburg neighborhoods of Kentlands & Lakelands, first by departing from a shopping center. After queuing around a quaint Pond, the walk saunters a snaky switchback then zig-zags about Little Quarry Road, showcasing some zealous residences. A mini meander on "Main St." follows, with the trek then lingering between lakes before marveling at the Kentlands Mansion. Latter of the circuit traverses by bygone buildings, such as a Carriage house turned Arts Barn, eventually descending into a verdant valley that features aisles of tiles. Lastly, the walk proceeds off pavement for a period paralleling Muddy Branch, finally concluding back at the shopping center through a snobby lobby. Highlights include a terrific 'Tree-of-the-trek', a lavish Locomotive, & a jovial 'joke-of-the-day'. A stair affair!
NOTES:
1. Trail Forecast= MAP | Wear loose/ Gym- clothing & sneakers. Shade advisory. Bathroom break included.
2. MEET SPOT & Lunch/ CONGREGATION is located in plaza of Lapu Lapu (see uploaded photo), you will have to park your car (Market St. suggested) & walk a very short distance. Alt. parking lot: Commerce Sq (in front of the Cinemas).

- Walk: An Urban Excursion in Columbia feat. Symphony WoodsKittamaqundi Fountain, Columbia, MD
This 4.4mile easy walk is paved & has subtle elevation changes albeit some STAIRS in the latter. Pace: 3mph. The trek begins by circumnavigating Lake Kittamaquindi then spurs onto the "spiraling geodesic tube-" bridge above U.S. highway 29. After viewing the Chrysalis (pictured), where a unique 'tree-of-the-trek' is, the walk sneaks a peek at the Merriweather Post Pavilion concert venue. Latter of the circuit bops between buildings before concluding around AND through the Columbia Mall (yes, really!). Highlights include the historical Old 29 Bridge (c. 1919), a snaky boardwalk saunter, & sublime scrap metal sculptures. An urban excursion!

A Hagerstown tradition for 80+ years, Krumpe's Do-Nuts (a real hidden sweet treat), is hosting their annual Donut Alley Rally 5k! Run or walk as the proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project & the Mason-Dixon Warrior Adventures!
