Welcome to Nashville AI Builders, a high-intensity builder competition where you ship a real AI product fast—then demo it to judges, mentors, and the Nashville startup ecosystem.
This kickoff event is hosted at Vanderbilt University’s Engineering & Science Building and is designed for makers who want to build, iterate, and launch—not just talk about AI.
What you’re building
Bring an idea (or find one here), form a team, and build an AI product that works:
- AI agents + automations
- LLM apps + RAG + evals
- Voice / multimodal apps
- B2B workflow tools, consumer apps, devtools, anything shippable
The competition format
- Build sprint: fast onboarding → build → iterate
- Mentor lanes: unblock architecture, model choice, UX, and “how to ship”
- Demo Night: lightning demos + judging + awards
- Ecosystem access: meet other builders, founders, and potential sponsors/recruiters
Who should come
Engineers, designers, PMs, founders, students, tinkerers—anyone who can help ship. New to AI? You’ll learn by building. Experienced? Bring the heat.

Hackathon II is where we turn momentum into outcomes.
This event is the second stop in the Nashville AI Builders Competition—a series for people who want to ship AI products in public, with real feedback, real constraints, and real demos.
Hosted at Vanderbilt University’s Engineering & Science Building.
The vibe
Pure building energy. You’ll show up, pick a track, build hard, get mentored, and demo what you made. The goal is simple: leave with something real.
What’s different in Hackathon II- Stronger focus on productization (UX, reliability, evaluation, packaging)
- Mentor support for agents, tool-calling, RAG, and deployment
- A demo flow built for clarity + wow (show the problem, show the product, show results)
Suggested tracks (choose one)
- AI Agents in the Wild: workflows that actually complete tasks
- LLM Apps that Don’t Break: evals, guardrails, reliability
- Vertical AI: healthcare, real estate, music, logistics, etc.
