Initial Meetup!

Okay, kids, here we go! My expectations for our first meetup:

1. We will treat each other with patience and kindness. Remember, it's more important to be kind than right (at least at these events).

2. Bring your ideas, projects, writeups, etc. I will probably present my own work at this initial meeting, yet I will be completely open to discussing your work (please don't make me talk for 2 hours). Don't be afraid to ask clarifying questions or to make encouraging, salient comments.

3. It would be nice, but not mandatory, if we each purchased at least one menu item from the store. They are providing the meeting space for free - let's show them how nerds show appreciation!

4. We will start breaking up at 7:55 p.m. They close at 8:00 and I'd like us to not be "those guys."
