The New Jersey P2P Insights is a free gathering for Bitcoin, Crypto, Blockchain, and Web 3.0 enthusiasts to connect, learn, and take action together, hosted by the New Jersey Innovation and Technology Alliance - NJITA.

Demetrius Robinson, MSW, LSW
Clinician | Technology Advocate | Blockchain Enthusiast

Demetrius is a clinician, educator, consultant, and public speaker with a passion for bridging mental health, education, and emerging technology. A longtime Camden resident, he brings decades of interdisciplinary experience across healthcare, public health, juvenile justice, government, and education.

With an early foundation in technology dating back to the Commodore 64 and TRS-80 era, Demetrius developed a lifelong interest in how innovation shapes human potential. In 2020, while living in Ghana during the COVID-19 pandemic, he discovered blockchain and cryptocurrency, recognizing their potential to transform financial systems, education, and public services.

Today, Demetrius advocates for equitable access to decentralized technologies and explores blockchain applications in mental health, credential verification, and community empowerment. He is actively engaged with organizations including Stand With Crypto, the New Jersey Innovation & Technology Alliance, and The Black Blockchain Summit.

His mission: To build connections between human-centered care and technological innovation through speaking, consulting, and community leadership.

Ma'kin El
Private Investor | Real Estate | Crypto & Digital Currencies

Ma'Kin purchased his first investment property in 1991 at the age of 19. He worked for Camden's municipal government for 28 years and worked in various departments, but landed in the tax office and learned about tax liens and compound interest.

Learned and studied about the crypto market around 2019/2020. He is a strong advocate for the opportunity of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and tokenization.
