🧑💻 Software Developers, you may find value at our meetup doing one or none of the following: look for a better job, meet developers and make friends, validate the feasibility of an ambitious side project, get help with my coding blocker or homework, gain insight and awareness into a company you're interviewing for, learn about other professions involving code, join a vibrant online discord community, and/or hangout to sip coffee in a perfect space with friendly people.
📈 Tech companies, we're currently available for sponsorships and partnerships! From Concert to Code: The IoT + Hardware Behind Taylor Swift's Dazzling 70K Fan Displays!
During the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, all fans had light up bracelets that created graphics across the crowd. These bracelets were given out at the gate and were not attached to a seat number, so how does this work?!? In this session we will reverse engineer the technology behind concert bracelets. We will also have a live demo of the hardware needed to make your own “clunky” bracelet. We will end off with how to scale up this technology across 70,000 people.
Attendee’s can leave this session with:
- Knowledge about different ways that Internet of Things (IoT) devices can communicate
- Basic hardware knowledge and information on how to start your own hardware project
- The joy of watching the chaotic process of a live hardware and coding demo!
PS would love to trade beaded bracelets with any swifties :) Bring yours to the session!
