June; Powering Native Cross Platform Mobile Apps with Office365 and Xamarin
Details
Our June Meeting is on 1st of June. (There is no sport on that day, don't check, just trust me)
We have regular presenter Andrew Coates from Microsoft coming to talk about Xamarin for cross platform mobile development and leveraging the Microsoft Graph API.
We have sponsorship from Dev Express so that means Free Pizza.
We also have a give way for NDC Sydney. The ticket is a 3 day ticket worth more than $2000. But you have to sign up you can find a link on our website or go directly here: http://ncg.asn.au/NDC-Raffle-2016.aspx
With Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Xamarin, there’s been an increased emphasis on native cross-platform development. Join Andrew Coates for this demo-rich session explaining and exploring the possibilities for creating compelling cross-platform apps powered by Office365 services and the Microsoft Graph running natively on iOS, Android and Windows, all with an almost completely shared code base and all in .NET and XAML. You’ll leave this session with some great examples to get you up and running with compelling, performant O365 Mobile applications. Andrew Coates – Developer Evangelist, Microsoft Australia
Long-time friend of NCG Andrew Coates has been a Developer Evangelist at Microsoft for over twelve years, teaching, learning and sharing coding techniques. During that time, he’s focused on .Net development on the desktop, in the cloud, on the web, on mobile devices and, most recently for Office. Andrew has a number of apps in various stores and generally has far too much fun doing his job to honestly be able to call it work. Andrew lives in Sydney’s Eastern Studies with his wife, Samantha and two high school-aged children.
