Join us for a hike with the Friends of Marple Newtown Trails through the Delco Woods County Park (behind the former Don Guanella property). The hike will be led by Sam Pickard (Marple Historical Society) and Ken Hemphill (led the effort to protect the woods from development).

The hike will be about 2 miles and feature the history and natural beauty of the 200+ acre woods. We’ll meet at the parking lot on Reed Road. The hike will include some steep slopes and steppingstone stream crossings, so bring your boots and walking sticks and some water in a thermos if you like!

After the roughly 90 minute hike, the historic Massey House, at 469 Lawrence Road, will be open for us. Due to the impressive size of our group, we'll just offer an easy snack this time - pretzels and water. :)

We are also asking that every hiker sign the following release form. You can either copy this, print it out and bring it, or sign one on Saturday morning. This is annoying, we know, but we thank you for understanding and complying.
See you on Saturday the 17th!
Best regards,
Terri, Doug, Evan, Samuel, Edward, Ken, and Charles
