What we’re about
https://www.meetup.com/north-end-hikes-and-walks-with-dogs/pages/Terms_of_Membership_Agreement/
For dog owners it is important to realize that not all parks are open to our four-legged friends. it is sometimes hard for dog owners to believe but not everyone loves dogs. We are, in fact, in the minority when compared with our non-dog-owning neighbors. As such, rules can change rapidly to ban dogs from even more of our public parks. It doesn't take a referendum or a ballot count for "NO DOGS" signs to appear overnight.
So make sure your dog is a good citizen on the trail - don't bother other hikers and pick up after him - and you will be embarking on a passion that will last a lifetime.
Get fit - grab a leash and hit the trail!
Upcoming events (4+)

Let's go check it out. Recent Trip report states trail is in pretty good condition for the first 3 miles, so that is how far we will probably go (unless they clear the blowdowns beyond that beforehand) This is not Deception Pass or Deception Falls.
Everything that makes a river hike fun is here, cool bridges, waterfalls, big trees, lots of dripping moss, and mushrooms.
A perfect hike for an overcast or warm day, venture up a deep valley cloaked in magnificent old-growth forest. One of the finest ancient forest hikes within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Deception Creek is also one of the quieter trails in that wilderness. Passed over by hikers preferring mountain summits and alpine lakes, this trail is perfect for those who enjoy solitude, quiet contemplation and big old trees—and of course a gorgeous cascading mountain creek as well!Mileage: 6 miles RT.
Elevation Gain: about 1200 ft
Passes/Permit required: NW Forest Pass? ( WTA says none)
Dogs allowed on leash/scoop the poop
