Announcing our next NPT Book Club meeting on Monday, January 12th at the Rhinelander District Library from 11:00 - 12:00. To find the group go downstairs and turn left and go to the end of the hallway. The major theme of the book club are books based on some aspect of nature. All NPT members are encouraged to join and come whenever you can. Our future meeting will highlight the book, The Death and Life of the Great Lakes by Dan Egan. The author explains how the lakes are under threat of an ecological catastrophe and the ways we can restore and preserve them for generations to come. Egan was a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and nominated twice for the Pulitzer Prize. Wisconsin is blessed by touching two of these inland seas.
Copies of this book are reserved for us at the Rhinelander District Library. You can check out a copy by using your library card at the reference desk by mentioning NPT Book Club. If you're having difficulty in getting the book, let Linda know. An alternative to a hard copy would be to use Libby. The Libby app allows you to borrow digital books and audiobooks from the Wisconsin Valley Library Service (WVLS) in the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium. We hope you can join us.
