NEED A KAYAK: Clarrie Hall Dam, Paddle & Bar-B-Q
Details
Meet at 8.00 am (NSW Time), to complete paperwork and be issued gear.
Come and make the most of the last of the summer days with a paddle on Clarrie Hall Dam. The dam is located on Doon Doon Creek - a tributary of the South Arm of the Tweed River, some 15 kilometres south-west of Murwillumbah. The dam offers a great paddle with spectacular scenery and views of Wollumin (Mt Warning) to the north, in addition to extensive picnic facilities at Crams Farm.
We will be launching form the small boat ramp at Crams Farm Reserve at southern end of the dam. From there we will be paddling through an ocean of water lilies to explore the clear flat waters that stretch some 5 kms to the northern dam wall.
On returning we will be having a BYO bar-b-q lunch for those who want to stay on. We will supply salad, bread, condiments and cooking utensils, but make sure to bring something to eat and drink.
Crams Farm Reserve is located some 1.4 kms along Commissioners Crk Rd, after it joins Doon Doon Rd. Although it has no street number if your using nav assist the next door property is 127 Commissioners Crk Rd. The reserve is well marked so you can’t miss it.
NOTE: If you RSVP, be sure to text or call if you are unable to attend.
