Final Run of 2025! Lower Macleay to Pittock (Trail Run in Forest Park)

Come join Northwest Trail Runners as we run out of 2025 with a classic Forest Park climb!

Distance: 5 mile trail run
Gain: 919 feet
Start: Lower Macleay Trailhead
After: Pizza Thief
Let’s close out the year with a run up to Pittock Mansion for a view of the city and, if it’s clear, we’ll see Mount Hood and enjoy a smattering of light/darkness!

The Route:
• Start on Lower Macleay trail, ~0.8 mile
• Continue straight onto Wildwood past the Stone House
• Stay on Wildwood, be careful with traffic when crossing Cornell
• Follow signs and keep on Wildwood all the way to Pittock Mansion parking lot, ~1.7 miles
• Regroup at the viewpoint
• We'll head back the same way we came to the start, ~2.5 miles

Safety:
Part of the run crosses Cornell Rd, watch for cars before crossing.
