Car/Bus Ramble: Underwood – Brinsley Circular

What we will do: Please arrive by 10.15am for a 10:30am start. Meet on the bend opposite the primary school in Underwood, Main Road, Notts, NG16 5GQ.
Walk: Approx 5/6 miles: Underwood, Brinsley and back. Mainly walking on tracks on the side of fields or along country lanes. A few difficult stiles to negotiate, and a gentle uphill bit into Brinsley. We will take our time though, no hurry. Lunch: Possibly half way round at Brinsley Lodge or at the Hole in the Wall Pub, Underwood, at the end - decide on the day.

Direction by car: arrive by 10.15am. Underwood, Main Road, Notts, NG16 5GQ. Parking is free on the side lane going off from the main road, opposite the school on the bend.
Directions by Bus: Catch the TrentBarton Rainbow One to Alfreton via Selston from Nottingham at 9.10am – Victoria Centre Bus Station or Upper Parliament Street. Get off at the Felley Hill stop Underwood (arrives about 10am) and walk a few yards back down the road and turn right into Underwood and keep following the road. It is about a five minute walk to the meeting point on the bend by the Primary School.

Important to know: There are usually 10-15 people on these walks. A lot of the walkers will be club members and are not on the Meetup website.

What to bring: Please dress appropriately for a country walk. Wear proper walking boots, bring a rucksack with liquid refreshment and some waterproof clothes depending on the weather forecast for the day.
