Car/Bus Ramble: Linby, Papplewick & Newstead Abbey

What we will do: Start time: 10.15am for 10.30am. Meet in the cafe at Brooke Farm, Main Street, Linby, Nottinghamshire, NG15 8AE or outside in front of the Horse & Groom. Walk 5/6 miles. A circular walk linking pleasant villages and one of the most famous stately homes in Nottinghamshire. There will be a coffee/lunch break half way round at the Newstead café, and/or at the Brooke Farm Café at the end. This walk is mainly on very quiet roads and tracks and should be suitable to be done in all weather conditions.

Directions by Car: Car Park, Horse & Groom, 10 Main St, Linby, Nottingham NG15 8AE. They may ask us to at least have a drink there at the end of the walk.
Directions by Bus: StageCoach 141 from Nottingham Victoria Bus Station, stand 9. Buses once an hour. Best time is 9.30am bus arriving at Brooke Farm, Linby, 10.11am.

Important to know: There are usually 10-15 people on these walks. A lot of the walkers will be club members and are not on the Meetup website.

Non-walkers are invited to join us for lunch. Please advise the organiser in advance.
What to bring: Please dress appropriately for a country walk. Wear proper walking boots, bring a rucksack with liquid refreshment and some waterproof clothes depending on the weather forecast for the day.
