DESCRIPTION:
- As a volunteer, you get first pick on FREE groceries worth $100. I have seen Fresh Produce, Meat, Seafood, Frozen Foods, Can Foods, and Dairy products like milk, cheese and eggs. After volunteering, Lunch is server to the volunteers ONLY. Volunteering is a good way to save money, make friends via teamwork, and give back to the community.
ITINERARY:
- Arriving late or leaving early is OK, just don't make it a habit.
- 08:00 am - When everyone arrives, our group's stations are assigned.
- 08:30 am - Grab YOUR FREE grocery and put it in YOUR CART.
- 09:00 am - The public arrives, and you start handing out items.
- 11:00 am - Most grocery items have been handed out.
- 11:30 am - FREE LUNCH.
- 12:00 pm - Most volunteers have already gone home.
RECOMMENDED ITEMS TO BRING:
- Sunscreen - Event is Outdoors, mostly under canopy shade
- Small Cart - for Grocery
RECOMMENDED CLOTHES TO WEAR:
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Dress for Weather - Event is Outdoors, mostly under canopy shade
- Sneakers
- Working Gloves
