About us
Off the Couch Munich is for people who enjoy doing things together - outdoors, active, and fun. We’re a group of internationals and open-minded locals who like spending time in the mountains and trying things that are just more fun with others - hiking, biking, hut weekends, pub games like darts or pool, laser tag, or the occasional city trip.
We keep things casual and real. No pressure to be super sporty - just come along, join in, and meet people who enjoy being out and about. If you’re into fresh air, good vibes, and shared experiences, you’ll feel at home here.
We're a new group building from the ground up, looking for a core crew of 10-20 people who actually show up regularly, not hundreds of passive members. If you're tired of flaky groups where nobody commits, this is for you. Small, intentional, and consistent.

The Plan:
- 18:00 - Meet somewhere near Backstage for food & beers. Location TBD — do what I say and check the WhatsApp group for updates.
- ~19:30 - Head to Backstage Werk.
- 20:00 - Doors open. Clawfinger takes the stage. Nothing going on in your living room tonight.
Important Info:
- Age: 18+ (ID required)
- Dress code: Whatever you want. You don't have to look perfect as long as you're pretty fucking close.
- Tickets: Available at Eventim - get them NOW. Don't wake me up when they're sold out and you missed it.

I am going to create a WA group for coordination.We'll meet at 07:40 at Pasing Bahnhof and take the RB66 at 08:05 to Kochel, arriving in Bichl at 08:56. From there we hike to Wackersberg and up to the Blomberg (1,248m). We'll stop at the Blomberghaus (1,203m) for a late lunch. Please bring cash for lunch and the cable car.
We take the Blombergbahn down if we catch the last one at 16:00. If not, we hike down (headlamp required) and still catch one of the later buses. From the Blomberg Talstation we take the bus + train back to München Hauptbahnhof.
RSVP Expectations: Only sign up if you actually want to participate. If you signed up, show up. Cancel at least 24 hours in advance if plans change. Be on time. No-shows may be removed from the group.
The Deutschlandticket is valid on this route. If you don't have one, you'll need to purchase a valid train ticket yourself.
Please bring:
- A smile and good mood
- Proper hiking boots
- Hiking spikes & gaiters (conditions may be icy/snowy in February)
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Enough water and snacks
- Cash for dinner and cable car
- Charged mobile phone
- Headlamp (just in case — or definitely, if we miss the last cable car)
- Optionally a small first aid kit
