Spanish–English Conversation (Language Exchange)

Este es un intercambio de idiomas entre Anglo parlantes e Hispano hablantes, hablamos 1 hora en Español y 1 hora en Inglés. La proporción de la mesa es de 1-1, 2-1, o 3-1 dependiendo de la asistencia.

El evento es en un ambiente de respeto, coordialidad y apertura, donde lo importante es ayudarnos mutuamente a mejorar nuestros idiomas, además de conocer gente nueva, hacer amigos y pasar un rato agradable.
REGLAS IMPORTANTES DEL EVENTO:

• NIVEL: Se requiere un nivel mínimo para mantener una conversación fluida. Informe su nivel al anfitrión.
• BALANCE: Practique ambos idiomas por igual (una hora cada uno).
• SENSIBILIDAD: Evite temas incómodos o controversiales. Respete las diferencias culturales.
• CORRECCIÓN: Corríjanse respetuosamente y explique palabras desconocidas.
• COMPROMISO: Llegue a tiempo, participe activamente y ayude a los demás.
• CONDUCTA: No es un grupo de citas. No se tolera comportamiento inapropiado.
• APOYO: Consuma al menos una bebida en Waves Coffee para mantener el espacio que amablemente nos prestan.
• RSVP: Confirme su asistencia, esto nos ayuda a organizar mejor el evento y animar a más personas a participar.
• HORARIO: El intercambio dura una hora por idioma. Por favor sea puntual.

This is a language exchange between English speakers and Spanish speakers, we speak 1 hour in Spanish and 1 hour in English. The table ratio is 1-1, 2-1, or 3-1 depending on attendance.
The event is in an atmosphere of respect, cordiality and openness, where the important thing is to help each other improve our languages, in addition to meeting new people, making friends and having a good time.
IMPORTANT EVENT RULES:

• LEVEL: A minimum level is required to maintain a fluent conversation. Inform the host of your level.
• BALANCE: Practice both languages equally (one hour each).
• SENSITIVITY: Avoid uncomfortable or controversial topics. Respect cultural differences.
• CORRECTION: Correct each other respectfully and explain unknown words.
• ENGAGEMENT: Arrive on time, participate actively, and help others.
• CONDUCT: This is not a dating group. Inappropriate behavior is not tolerated.
• SUPPORT: Consume at least one drink at Waves Coffee to maintain the space they kindly lend us.
• RSVP: Confirm your attendance, this helps us better organize the event and encourage more people to participate.
• SCHEDULE: The exchange lasts one hour per language. Be punctual.
