May Hike & Lunch at Whiting Ranch Trailhead (Red Rock Canyon Trail)
Details
Bring water, comfortable lightweight hiking shoes, sunscreen, hat, light jacket as appropriate. Hiking poles are helpful in the Red Rock Canyon area (but not required).
Parking is limited at this location. You may want to park across the street in the shopping center for additional parking, then cross at the light to come back to the trail head. Plan to get there at 8:45 to allow time for parking and walking to the meeting place.
If it rains or the park is closed, the hike is canceled, but the lunch is still on at 11:15am. We will have a group lunch at a Mexican restaurant called Cuca's Mexican Food across the street in the shopping center.
The hike is from 9:00am-11:00am. (please be arrive early at 8:45am)
