Join Out & Active NI for a guided kayaking adventure on Strangford Lough, combining gentle paddling with local history, heritage, and stunning natural scenery. This two-hour tour is a brilliant way to experience one of Northern Ireland’s most beautiful waterways from a completely different perspective.
From the water, you will explore historic islands, castles, the lightship, rugged rock formations, and shipwreck sites. Along the way, your guide will share stories of the area’s history, heritage, and traditional place names, bringing the landscape to life.
This is a relaxed and enjoyable tour, suitable for beginners and those with some paddling experience. Weather and conditions permitting, there may also be an opportunity to stop on one of the islands to stretch your legs and take in the surroundings.
All equipment is provided, including kayaks, paddles, wetsuits, and buoyancy aids, so you just need to turn up ready for adventure.
