Come join us for a guided day of scenic views and storytelling along the stunning Lecale coast. This isn’t just a walk. It’s an experience that blends breathtaking landscapes with rich local legends, history, and folklore.

We are led by a knowledgeable local guide whose passion for Lecale and its tales comes from a lifetime rooted in the place itself. A seventh-generation farmer’s son, Duane has dedicated years to sharing the stories of this ancient land, bringing the area’s history, myths, and landscapes to life as you walk. His guided tours offer insights into the people, nature, and legends that have shaped Lecale over centuries.

Along the route you will hear tales of Vikings, shipwrecks, and smuggling, and learn about ancient paths and folklore that connect this coast with Ireland’s past. As part of the tour we will visit a well blessed by Saint Patrick, a site steeped in tradition and local meaning. Depending on the tide, we may also walk the mystical feature known as Saint Patrick’s Road, the legendary route said to have led him toward the Isle of Man.

The hike continues along dramatic cliffs with views that stretch toward Scotland and the Isle of Man, with the Mourne Mountains rising to the south, offering a truly unforgettable perspective on this wild coastline.

Bring a packed lunch to enjoy along the way, and be ready for fresh sea air, deep history, and community connection.
