Hike Wells Mills on Several Trails------- 8+ Miles

Wells Mills County Park is Ocean County's largest park with over 900 acres .There are over 23.5 miles of marked hiking trails. South Jersey Trails 10th Anniversary ranked Wells Mills as 9th of the top 25 Hiking Trails in South Jersey.
On this hike around Wells Mills our route follows the orange, green,yellow,red,white, and combined trails. There are porta-potties in the parking lot and restrooms in the Visitors Center....Bring water and snacks. We will stop for short breaks on our route.
We begin on orange trail which connects to green trail. We then take the green which becomes joint green-white trail until we reach yellow trail and make a right turn. We take the yellow trail until we reach the red trail and make a left turn, take red trail all the way.up.(This will be an early out taking the red up to Nature Center) .We make a right turn on white trail for 2 miles to end. We take our late lunch break. The hike will be 8-9 miles at 3mph pace.

Before leaving your house check for cancellations.If hike is cancelled, it will be posted on day of event by 6AM.. Snow or Heavy Rain cancels hike.
Arrive at least 15 minutes early for sign-in, restrooms, adjust boots, safety rules etc. I leave on time.
