Franklin Parker Red Trail

Easy to moderate pace hike approx. 6 miles. We will see who and what is waking up after this fun, snowy winter and see what kind of trouble the beavers have been causing. The section between the swinging bridge and the next bridge might be flooded. If flooding is too bad we will go around and come in from the other side to check out their dam building skills. We will make periodic stops to admire this beautiful place and for Kodak moments and stop at the world famous Adirondack chairs for a snack/lunch break. Bring something to sit on. We will also stop at the unimpressive sign indicating the approximate location of the Blue Comet train wreck.

Pets are ok but must be on a leash.
Bring bug spray. With this warm weather NJ"s favorite blood sucker will be coming out.
Please arrive by 9:45 to sign in and use port-a-potty
I leave on time.
If bad weather, I will cancel by 7am. Fyi, I am a die hard, so if it is just drizzling, I will be going.
