Join us on a hike of the MN Riverbottoms. The path is shared with single trek mountain bikers, but it is easily done and a fun hike! After the hike we can go to Nine Mile Brewing for socializing.

Details:
The hike will be about 5.5 miles at a moderate pace which is about 17:30 - 18 minute miles. If you are unsure of how fast that is, there are many free apps to check your pace with a smart phone. I recommend Under Armor Map My Run and then set your activity to hike or walk.

Thinks to know for winter hiking:
1. Dress for about 10 - 15 degrees warmer than the temp. Even with slower pace, you will get warm.
2. Bring a headlamp. It will be dark on the hike.
3. Bring water as desired.
4. Decent shoes. Hiking boots are recommended. Snow boots are heavy and not recommended.
5. Grippers are necessary for ice.
6. Suggested to bring a change of shirts for socializing. It helps to prevent chills when you cool down.

By signing up for the hike, you agree to take full responsibility for yourself and any falls that may happen on the hike. Do not leave valuables in your car. Break-ins occur all over the Twin Cities so do not give a thief a reason to break in.

Please keep your RSVP up to date. If you are running late, please post a comment so we know to wait. Otherwise we will take off without you if we don't know your status.
