Winter Reading Series: James by Percival Everett

At our last meeting, we decided to skip a December book. It's a busy time of year and we have an event during the month. We chose James as our January novel.

This 2024 Pulitzer Prize winning novel reimagines Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of the character Jim, giving him agency and a voice not present in the original novel.

I'm going to revisit Huckleberry Finn first... it's been a minute or two since I last read it.

We'll meet at Busy Nothings cafe. I'll plan a separate day outing to roughly honour the story.
